More Photoshoots

So i have been a tad busy and i have managed to squeeze in 2 more photoshoots down at the local college with the hair design students.

Ok so this one is the start of me helping out at Aylesbury college. I was asked to come in and photograph the hair design students work for there level 3 I think it'll be interesting to see all the different ideas that people have.

So far I have done 3 different hair stylists who have done 3 looks each.

These photos are from the 1st shoot I did back in January.......

Snowboarding

So over new years I finally had the opportunity to go snowboarding, some days I really enjoyed and others I didn't. Whilst I was there learning what to do on the slopes trying not to kill myself on the lifts I had the opportunity to take some pictures in the snow park that was next to the slope I was learning on. From where ibwas standing it looked like a pretty good park, it had jumps and rails a few blocks and a table top.

I kindly asked a few of the guys in our group I'd they wouldn't mind me taking some pictures of them jumping so I could practice, one day I hope I can so it all the time and when it isn't ski season take some of surfers and all the fashion that goes with them both. So here are my photos of the boys in the park......

It's been a while

It has been a very long time sine I have posted due to being a busy bee. So I'm going to update you all with the things I have done since I was last here. Enjoy my next few posts.

Sneak peak at my Interview

 Ok so I have been working hard (most of the time) I did a series of interviews for my Addict lookbook with a selection of Djs from southampton, I picked them becasue Addict used to be southampton based and its part of their history. I felt that these 3 guys were fun and interesting like the brand and were easy to get information out of. Thank you to Emily Anstee for writing it all up and thanks to Pete (Flash Bang), Jay (Upside) and Luke (Gold top) for your help so far...

Busy Bee

Ok so ive been a busy bee since i was last here i did a test shoot (which i didnt like) a skating photoshoot and some pretty cool Dj Photos, im now planning another mens wear shoot and another skate story (fingers crossed) Im slightly scared about this project now, its hard to do things with no money and lack of interaction. Oh and not having famous friends :p but anyway here are a few snippets of what i was up to ...

Ok so on sunday im doing a photoshoot, ATLAST! it has been ages since ive done one but it is now time to crack on with it. I am doing a shirt story for my Fmp. Ill pop the photographs up soon =) x

Ive had some fun ideas for my photoshoots for my Addict Look Book, i have some that will be interesting to shoot and some that will hopefully look amazing.

 I will put up my test shoots as i do them and keep the world posted =)

Life

Ok so for those who dont no who i am Im Sarah Elisabeth, Im a Student studying Fashion with Photography which has developed an idea in my head that has made me want to work with a magazine that uses sports and fashion, Like Cooler and foam magazine.

 Ive always been interested in surfing and that style and as ive become more interested in photography ive become more interested sports photography.

Im super jealous of all these photographers who get to go and take pictures of professional surfers and snowboarders in amazing places and of photographers who get to shoot the campaigns or stories for brands like Element Eden, Roxy, Volcom, Protest and alllllll the others.

My aim is to one day be the person who is doing the shoots. But first Find someone who will let me work with them.

Almost a year ago

it was almost a whole year ago i first read this, it still inspires me...

Sampler for Addict

Ok so my FMP Proposal is in Tomorrow (16/12/2011) and ive done a few shoots so here they are.

Firstly is an interview with my friend and DJ Daniel Jones AKA DJBuddah and Hyped.

I am doing a winter look book/magazine for my project and want to do a few fashion stories and a few interviews mixed in with basic information about addict. Which is why i used Dan and Bobble hats.

Then we have my Real life real people Story...

these as i said are for my Real People Real Life story which will be showing Addict products in a real life situation, but ill explain more of that when im done =P

Product Shoot

Ok so Today (9/12/2011) i did a Product shoot with my friend Steph, She needed to do a shoot using luggage for a PR Campaign that was based around Snow white, so of course we used red apples. We did it in the new forest bright and early this morning, BRRRR it was freezing!

FMP

Ok so, the old FMP is stressing me out. I have done the hard part for me which is writing and now its the stressful part. Construction. Ive got to put together my Sampler, so im coming up with my concepts and stressing that i dont have time models or clothes so as standard im having a stress. And an extremely bad mood, i havent decided if thats from stress or just life.

 Well will keep you updated on my progress =)

Digi Op...

Ok so yesterday (6/12/2011) i assisted my friend Jen on a photo shoot with the Mamiya. We did a tethered shoot with 4 looks and i was the digi op (digital operator) i was checking the computer, doing all the files etc. Which was fun. Here are 1 of each shot for you guys so you can see what we did.

Ok so yesterday (17.11.11) in our photography lesson we were using a digital back Mamiya Camera and also testing out our tutors hasselblad. Which was fun. We did an extremely simple photo that was fun and looks pretty amazing.

These cameras are manual focus and alot harder than it seems but i lovee working with them.

Ok so last night (17.11.11) I helped out my friend danielle again. She was doing a burlesque style photoshoot and again i offered my assistance.

FMP

Ok, so, its FMP time (final major project) and we have just been given our briefs. We have a few that we can choose from or we can do our own. Originally i was going to do my own and create a magazine that i would read BUT instead i have decided to choose our Addict Brief.

 The project Brief is to create a Pr campaign for Addict, I like the brand already and i no a few people who wear it. So i decided that seeing as its 'mystyle' of brand even though its mens wear id love to do it.

 Ive been trying to think of ideas and have been trying to work out what i need to do and yesterday (13/11/11) i brought one of my usual magazines FOAM and i saw a shoot that they had done, i really liked the idea of it being in 'real places' then it came to me, why dont you base it on real people and real places. using Addicts hype on music and play around with music, people, places and fashion.

These are the images from the magazine.

Im going to use these as part of my inspiration.
